Ayurvedic Practitioner, E-RYT 200, RYT 500
Nanette’s overriding desire is to apply yoga, Ayurveda and 35 years of experience as a medical practitioner toward helping others integrate and balance body, mind, and spirit.
By applying ancient and modern medical practices, she seeks to guide others toward optimizing their health by following a diet and lifestyle suited to their individual constitutions.
Nanette is also deeply drawn to the use of Pranyama and the philosophy of yoga—bridging the heart and mind through the use of breathing practices, and promoting peace through meditation and the study of ancient Indian teachings.
Her exploration of the nature of the true Self includes working toward shedding layers, balancing contradictions, and “unhabituating”.
She is especially drawn to offering micro-resiliency mindfulness practices,—designed to enhance cognition, empathy and overall wellbeing—to corporate employees, particularly healthcare staff, physicians, and administrators. She views yoga as medicine, and specializes in providing private yoga sessions which incorporate her various trainings.
She has also deepened her studies by training with multiple teachers, including Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Robert Svoboda, as well as other prominent Ayurvedic practitioners and physicians in the US and India.
Nanette is a Physician Assistant-Certified, E-RYT 200, RYT 500 who has professional level certifications from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the following specialties: 500-hour Yoga Instructor; Ayurvedic Practitioner (NAMA Professional Member); and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.
