Restorative yoga classes are designed for individuals with cancer and cancer survivors. These classes offer a way to regain control of your body and take an active part in your recovery and long-term health.
These classes offer healing through learning restorative postures to ease discomfort. You will learn how to connect to the breath and learn meditation skills to help quiet the mind. All of these healing techniques help to regain a sense of physical and emotional well-being. The aim is to empower students with the tools they need to create a safe home yoga practice, one that is tailored to their abilities, energy level, and overall health goals.
Yoga poses are adapted for all levels of ability and cancer challenges.

While recovering from my lumpectomy and preparing for chemotherapy, I saw a news segment on a new restorative yoga class being offered, suitable for cancer patients. I jumped at anything that might help me through treatment even though I've never been a big "fan" of yoga. That was February 2016. I am so happy that I took a chance. The instructors at Breathe Healing helped me focus on breathing, stretches and positions designed to help with nausea and other treatment side effects, and, importantly, my goal of healing. The meditation aspect of classes helped me focus on my wellness during the worst of times. I always feel better after class; always. I highly recommend these instructors. Their classes have been a bright spot during a difficult time.
